We are pleased to share with you some fantastic scores from Wine & Spirits magazine for Fabre Montmayou and Viñalba. These two multi award-winning brands from winemaker Hervé Joyaux Fabre were recognised in the October issue, from a Mendoza Malbec & Malbec Blends tasting.

Hervé is well regarded as one of the world’s leading authorities on Malbec and is known by many as a “Malbec Pioneer”, these consistent scores are a reflection of his sheer talent with this grape variety.

We are pleased to share with you the 2021 vintage report from Karim Mussi, and his estates in Mendoza:

“We can summarize the 2021 season in many different ways. The less optimistic group will refer to it by using a single word: “rain”, while the most optimistic ones, like us, will prefer two words: “exceptional quality”.

Like the 2020 harvest, we can say that the 2021 was very different from any previous harvests and that it cannot be compared with any other of similar characteristics. We are incredibly happy to have had a great harvest in qualitative terms, but also a very well organized one, thanks to the lessons learned last year during the pandemic. We believe that the new 2021 wines will be able to see the market quickly, while the reserve wines augur great potential for ageing.”

Jasmine Monet, our organic producer from Argentina, has been awarded three medals from the Sommeliers Choice Awards 2021.

Jasmine Monet Black Brut has been awarded 92 points and a gold medal, with an additional two silver medals for Jasmine Monet’s White Blanc de Blancs and Pink sparkling wines. The tasting notes from the awards can be read here.
