The wave of good news from this year’s Decanter World Wine Awards just continues to grow as we bring you another 90 point winning wine from Vignobles Saint Didier Parnac in Cahors.

It’s that time of the year again when everyone is announcing their results from this year’s Decanter World Wine Awards and we are delighted to let you know that our Argentine stunner Viñalba has also made us very proud.

We are delighted to announce that Perelada 5 Finques Reserva 2016 has been awarded 95 Points and a Grand Gold Medal by the prestigious Mundus Vini Competition. This is a world-renowned Grand International Wine Award, which took place for the 27th time in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, Germany under very strict tasting conditions.

We are pleased to announce the arrival of new vintages from Viña Las Niñas which all come with a plethora of accolades.

Amante Gran Reserva Cabernet-Merlot 2017 from Viña Las Niñas has been awarded 95 points and named one of Decanter’s Top Global Bordeaux Red Blends. The wines were tasted by Andy Howard, Master of Wine who referred to the Gran Reserva Cabernet-Merlot as “a fine blend with a great combination of ripe dark fruits, good acidity and a structure of fine-grained tannins. Clean and crisp, with pure fruit flavors, this is elegant and refined, with a very long finish. Has excellent potential for further ageing.”

We are pleased to announce that the Consejo Regulador, the Control Board which oversees DOC Rioja, has declared the 2019 vintage to be EXCELLENT.

This conclusion was made after a rigorous analysis of all the wines made in the Denomination, more than 4,500 samples were taken and then tasted by a panel of 150 professionals. What makes this even more significant is the fact the last time this milestone occurred was in 2011.

We spoke to our Rioja producer; Ortega Ezquerro and winemaker David Bastida, has told us about their excellent 2019 vintage.
